PICTURES SPEAK: CAN Ondo State Chapter Organises 2021 Prayer Summit

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Wednesday, 20th January 2021, organized her annual prayer summit held in the First Baptist Church, Akure, Ondo State.

The prayer summit started at 11am prompt with the opening prayer by Rev. T. O. Dairo, followed by a session of praise and worship.

Apostle Akin Daramola led the congregation to sing the hymn “What are friend we have in Jesus”, immediately after which the Chairman, Prayer Committee, CAN Ondo State chapter, Pastor R. O. Okunade gave the welcome speech appreciating important dignitaries present including the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu represented by the Chief of Staff, Chief Olugbenga Ale.

Important dignitaries present also includes, Secretary to the state government, Hon. Temitayo Oluwatayo, Commissioner of Local Government, Deaconess Lola Fagbemi, Attorney General, Sir Charles Titiloye,

Special Adviser to the Government on Union matters, Alaba Isijola, commissioner of agriculture Gboyega Adefarati ,amongst others.

The Regional pastor RCCG, Pastor Umar Idris led the congregation in a session of prayers while exhorting them to pray in unity.

In his address, the CAN chairman acknowledged the presence of the dignitaries and appreciated the Governor of Ondo State for approving the return of schools to their original owners despite opposition from various quarters.

He also encouraged the people present to always remember they are ‘more than conquerors’ despite the covid-19 pandemic and insecurity waging war against the country.
