Bamise Was Murdered By Three Gunmen, Says The BRT Driver

The BRT driver, Andrew Nice said Bamise was killed by 3 gunmen. He said, the 3 gunmen in the bus ordered him to stop at Carter bridge where Bamise was dragged out of the bus and she was killed.

Bamise Ayanwola, a 22-year-old lady boarded a bus from Cheveron to Oshodi on Saturday, February 26, 2022 around 7pm of which Andrew Nice happened to be the driver of the bus and he was arrested in connection with the killing of the young lady.

Bamise sent a distress messages which she includes the vehicle details to her friends  when she was not comfortable with the conduct of the driver in the vehicle, before her demise.

Bamise’s corpse was found on Carter bridge at Ogogoro community, Lagos Island with parts missing, on Monday, March 7, 2022.

The BRT driver was arrested by officials of the Department of State Service (DSS) in Ogun State.

Andrew said that Bamise boarded the bus at Cheveron while the 3 gunmen joined the bus at Agungi, on getting to Carter brigde, the gunmen ordered him to stop, after which Bamise was dragged out of the bus and she was killed.

He said, “I picked her from Chevron and I picked the other three guys at Agungi. When those guys showed me the weapons as I was going, I was not myself anymore. Fear came over me.

“Whatever the gunmen told me, that is what I did. When I followed that Carter bridge, after the overhead bridge, they ordered me to stop there.

“When they ordered me to stop, they said I should open the door. When I opened the door, they now started dragging her down.

“When I saw she was crying for help, actually I was helpless. I was thinking she was inside the vehicle holding the iron and I moved on.

“I left her at that scene. I never knew they dragged her down already. I have no connection with anyone of them.”
