Blue Sharks Arrive In Lagos for Eagles match

On Sunday, Blue Sharks team from Cape Verde arrived in Nigeria in advance of their final Group C 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifier on Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

The Blue Sharks recorded a comeback 2-1 victory over the Central African Republic on Saturday in Mindelo, and are still in the race for a playoff qualification spot.

The team arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at about 7pm on Sunday, before proceeding to their hotel.

“Blue Sharks are already in Nigeria. The journey, lasting four hours, was quiet and the national team is already installed at the hotel,” the Facebook post read.

“Tomorrow (today) is the official training at Lagos National Stadium.”

The Blue Sharks will be hoping to avenge their 2-1 loss in the hands of the three-time African champions in the first fixture, when both sides clash on Tuesday.

The winners of the match on Tuesday qualify for the playoff qualifying round where the 10 group leaders will shot it out on a home-and-away basis.
