Gas Explosion In Kano State

An explosion that occurred on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, near a school at Aba Road in Sabon Gari area, Kano State, has been confirmed that it was a gas explosion and not bomb explosion.

This confirmation was made by the Kano State Commission of Police in Person of Sama’ila Dikko.

The explosion injured and claimed several lives, in which 9 bodies have been recovered by The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA.

The NEMA statement reads: “9 dead bodies have been recovered so far from the rubbles of a collapsed bulding beside a primary school following explosions from gas cylinder at Aba Road in Sabon Gari area of Kano.
