Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, should zone its presidential ticket to the Southeast.

Ikpeazu clarified that the Southeast has not produced Nigeria’s president; hence PDP should give its ticket to the zone.

He said that zoning the presidential ticket to the Southeast was the right thing to do in the spirit of fairness and justice.

Ikpeazu explained that with PDP zoning its Chairmanship to the North, the presidential slot should go to the Southeast.

“Our zoning options have been spelt out by the PDP and it says that the chairmanship of the party should go to the North in 2023.

The former ruling party had last week took this decision as it  zoned its National Chairmanship to the North and Presidency to Southeast.
