Nollywood mourns as Popular Actress, Rachael Oniga dies at 64

Popular Nollywood actress, Rachael Oniga,passed away last night, July 30th.

Her son, Olatunji, confirmed the death of the actress to a reliable source on Saturday. According to Olatunji, his mother died on Friday night around 10pm.

“She passed last night around 10pm. She had malaria and typhoid,” he said. Racheal Oniga was born  on May 23, 1957.

She started acting as a career in 1993. Her first movie was the blockbuster, Onome, while her debut movie in the Yoruba speaking sector of the film industry was Owo Blow.

Oniga has featured in hundreds of Nollywood movies both English and Yoruba.
