North African referees for Eagles World Cup Qualifiers

Federation of  International Football Association(FIFA)  has chosen North African officials for the Super Eagles 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde later this month

This was made known in a statement by the Communications Department of the Nigeria Football Federation on Thursday.

Tunisian referee, Youssef Essrayri, will take charge of the Eagles’ game against the Lone Star at the Grand Stade de Tangier Morocco on September 13, and will be assisted by countrymen, Ismail (assistant referee 1), Youssef Jami (assistant referee 2), and Mehrez Melki (fourth official).

Former FIFA referee Seli Zinko from Ivory Coast is the referee assessor, while Sierra Leonean Sullay Kamara is match commissioner and Morrocan Bilal Mohamed Rida the medical officer.

For the last group match against Cape Verde, Algerian referee Mustapha Ghorbal will serve as the centre referee. He will be helped by Mokrane Gourari (assistant referee 1), Abbes Akram Zerhouni (assistant referee 2), and Lahlou Benbraham (fourth official) who are also all from Algeria. The Eagles lead Group C with nine points, two ahead of second-place Cape Verde.

The match commissioner of the game allocated to hold at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on November 16 is Sierra Leonean Kai Saquee, while Ivorian Nomandiez Doue and Dr. Abdulrahim Onimisi Salami from Nigeria will serve as referee evaluator and medical officer correspondingly.
