The National Union of Teachers has frowned at the abduction of the vice principal of the Junior Secondary School, Yebu, in the Kwali Area Council of Abuja.

In a statement released to newsmen yesterday, the National Secretary General of the National Union of Teachers, Dr Mike Ene, condemned the attack and called on the government to work on the release of Nuhu.

Ene said, “We condemn this attack and it is so sad to hear that our teachers are no longer safe. We call on the government to please rescue Mr Muhammed Nuhu.”

Gunmen had on Saturday attacked the staff quarters of the school and abducted the vice principal, Muhammed Nuhu.

Reliable witness of the incident said that the kidnappers who came in their large numbers shot their gun several times  before kidnapping the vice principal.

It was also revealed that the security officer at the gate was tied to enable easy operations.

“The assailants have not reached out for any ransom,” the source added
