Financial Empowerment for Kingdom Expansion (Part 2)

The Purpose of Kingdom Prosperity

Introduction:

Last week we dealt with some misconceptions about money in order to help us to reposition ourselves for the flow of divine or true prosperity according to God’s plan for His Children.

One thing that we need to have in mind is that God does nothing except it is for a purpose and this is very clear from The Scriptures in Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”
According to Revelation 4:11 (KJV) we were created for the pleasure of God and specifically for the expansion of His Kingdom here on earth.

The purpose for the creation of individuals who had encounters with God were made very clear to them most of the time at the moment of their encounters and we saw this in the life of people like Paul the Apostle (Act 26:15-16)

The bible while declaring the purpose of Jesus said “For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (1Jn 3:8)

Even when God instituted marriage, He made the intention known immediately to avoid unnecessary insinuations or guessing! (Gen 2:18)

PURPOSE OF KINGDOM PROSPERITY

1) For the sake of the kingdom of God; Money will play a big role in the end time gospel invasion!
God’s plan is to fill the earth with the culture of Heaven through influence but not by manipulations or physical violence and the only authentic way of influence is through good success and via true or genuine prosperity. People naturally give attention to successful and wealthy persons especially when they don’t feel threatened by their presence.

Zech 1: 17 Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

Eccl 10:19 KJV A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.

2) To fulfil the covenant that He sworn to our fathers: God is eternally committed to His own part of the deal!
Our God is a covenant minded and The Covenant keeping God, and He will never fail in performing His own side of the deal. In order to confirm His covenant of supernatural supply for His people He gives us power to create wealth.

Deut 8:18 KJV But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Psa 89:34-35 KJV

3) To prove our redemption:
We were rescued from sin and all its consequences including poverty, so we were saved to become rich. We must prove that Jesus’ poverty has made us rich.

2Co 8:9 KJV For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
Luk 4:17-18

4) To become ‘a blessing’: Gen 2: 12, Gal 3: 13, Act 20: 35, Gal 6: 10, 1Tim 6: 17 – 18.

This means to bless others. We are not supposed to be like the dead sea that only receives inflow of water and no outflow and that makes it unsuitable for living things to settle down there.
The only way for guaranteed replenishing is not to become a dam of God’s wealth but to become a redistribution centre for true wealth especially by helping the needy in the society.

Gen 12:1-2 KJV Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: (2) And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

1Ti 6:17-18 KJV Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; (18) That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Pro 19:17 KJV He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

6) To enjoy life 1Tim 6:17
There is absolutely nothing wrong in enjoying life with the blessing of God upon your life and you should not feel guilty for doing that. The only thing is that this should not be your only reason for living
1Ti 6:17-18 KJV Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; (18) That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

God Bless you, share your testimonies with us.

Jesus is Lord!
