Water is one of the most essential nutrients in the body and Doctors have always advocated that people should drink water on a regular basis.

However there are ways water can affect your health if you don’t take proper measures.

Dr Fidel Ezeome disclosed this in an interview onS Sdblivetv’s Good Morning Show.

He stated that taking water is good and beneficial for the body and an adult should take an average of 3litres per day.

He however noted that some people abuse the drinking of water in the name of water therapy and gulped down too much of water at a time, an act that he explained could cause water intoxication and land them in the hospital.

He explained that the 3litres adults are expected to take per day should be taken in intervals and not gulped down at once.

He further explained one of the benefits of water as helping all the parts of the body to function well and admonished people to take water the proper way.
