Shocking: Two INEC Offices In Ebonyi Is On Fire

Two offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Ebonyi State has been set ablaze by unknown persons.

The offices are located in Ebonyi and Ezza North Local Government Areas of the state.

No life  was involve but there were extensive damages to the building and facilities.

The incident happen a few hours before a meeting scheduled for today Wednesday 19/05/2022  between INEC and heads of security agencies over the attacks on the Commission’s offices.

The latest attack brings the number of offices of the Commission that have been set ablaze to 23.

It was reported that a breakdown of the incidents shows that the most affected states include Akwa Ibom (four), Abia (three) Anambra (two) and Imo (two).

Other states that witness fire incidents between February 2019 and May 2021 are Borno, Ebonyi, Jigawa, Kano, Ondo, Plateau and Rivers. Abuja  also involve.
