Singer Temmie Ovwasa opens up about being a Lesbian

Temmie Ovwasa popularly known as YBNL princess, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and artist. She signed a record deal with YBNL Nation in August 2015 but left the label in 2020 after having a disagreement with the label owner Olamide. She was born on November 29, 1996 in Ilorin, Kwara state to a father from Delta state and mother from osun state.
The young singer took to her blog to opened up about being born a gay, revealing she never knew other gay people until years later.In her own words, she wrote; ‘I have never had my heart broken by a man, i didn’t attend an all-girls school.. I grew up in Ilorin and i didn’t know other gay people existed for years, I was raised in the church. Stereotypes are dumb, i am a lesbian because i was born this way and i choose to live my truth’

She had her basic education at Grace Christian Schools and her secondary school education at Dalex Royal College, both in Ilorin Kwara state. She studied Medical Anatomy at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.

Temmie Ovwasa who’s quite a talent came to limelight after she made debut with her hit singles, with ‘Jabole‘, ‘Afefe, ‘Bamidele‘, and so many.
So many mixed reactions from people and her fans having heard her declaration because most of her songs were good lyrics.
Wande, one of her fans reacted: ” What actually is this world turning into, Ovwasa who sings beautifully like that declaring publicly to be born a lesbian, that’s absolutely bullshit. These folks need some serious help”.
